With the Holiday Season quickly approaching, our research team at Carbon Media decided to launch a survey to gain insight into our audience’s shopping behaviors and attitudes surrounding Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Over one thousand users opted to participate in the study.

Key takeaways from the study include:

  • 97% of survey respondents stated that they will conduct online research before making purchases this holiday season.
  • 96% said that visiting our sites influences their purchase decisions.
  • 93% intend to shop on Black Friday and/or Cyber Monday this year.
  • 90% will begin their holiday shopping by November 30th.
  • 72% plan to make at least half of their holiday purchases online.
  • 66% believe the best deals of the year are available during Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
  • 64% plan to spend at least as much as they did last year this holiday season.

Overall, our users are ready to spend as the holidays approach but they will be digging in to make sure they are getting the best bang for their buck.
