Job Description

The Staff Accountant will support the Senior Accountant/Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance Department


  • Manage company credit card systems
  • Manage annual audits, which are performed by an outside CPA firm
  • Assist with Receivables: Setting up new clients and contracts, reviewing impressions reports for billing and reconciling any discrepancies from client, processing check and credit card deposits daily and applying to clients account properly, processing collection report timely and able to communicate to clients and work with other departments internally to resolve any billing issues, maintaining sales reports weekly, processing write off request/credit memo request
  • Manage accounts payables: Setting up new publishers/vendors and purchase orders, scheduling invoices for payments into QB with proper coding consistent to budget, obtaining proper authorization of invoices and check requests, processing weekly aging reports and check runs, conducting payable sweeps, maintaining proper IRS documentations from vendors/publishers, preparing cash flow analysis for Senior Management. Corporate credit card and expense reports reconciliations including coding to proper accounts and scheduling for payments
  • Post journal entries, including depreciation, accruals, and adjustments
  • Assist with month-end closing processes
  • Assist with annual budgets and variance analyses
  • Document processes and cross train

Desired Skills and Expertise

  • A Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business with emphasis in accounting is required
  • 3-5 years Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience in Quickbooks, Concur and advanced Microsoft Excel/Word skills (pivot tables, vlookups
  • Ability to work in a fast paced yet casual environment, with minimal supervision
  • Friendly, dependable and able to successfully interact with team members
  • Accountable, detail-oriented, driven and able to maintain confidentiality
