Job Description

As an IT administrator, you’ll be responsible for maintaining the company’s IT network, servers, and security systems. You’ll be responsible for provisioning users, setting up access and permissions, building Windows and Mac computer systems, and ensuring availability of network and server resources. On a day to day basis you might be called upon to help colleagues with more basic IT needs such as diagnostics, troubleshooting and basic computer training.


• Administration of Microsoft Active Directory and Office 365 including Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive
• TCP/IP Networking
• Administration of Cisco ASA with Firepower and SonicWall firewall appliances
• Provisioning VoIP phones
• Ensuring network, server, and computer security and stability
• Administration of Symantec Cloud Endpoint security system
• Provisioning and maintaining a combination of Windows and Mac hardware
• Support local and remote users with hardware and software assistance
• Maintaining physical and virtual Windows and Linux servers
• Purchasing hardware and software and ensuring license compliance
• Managing server backups using Unitrends
• Maintaining documentation and diagrams of network and servers infrastructure

Desired Skills and Expertise

• 2+ years of experience managing an Active Directory environment
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 and Microsoft Office 2016
• Familiarity with Microsoft Volume Licensing
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Small Business Server
• Working knowledge of Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)
• Working knowledge of Mac OSX administration
• Working knowledge of Linux administration
• Working knowledge of scripting (PowerShell, bash, batch, etc.)
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS command line, Cisco network equipment, and policy-based routing and AnyConnect VPN
• Working knowledge of network administration including: firewall rules, routing, DHCP, DNS, etc.
• Detail oriented written and oral communication skills
• Hands on experience installing, troubleshooting, and repairing hardware and software
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 technologies including Exchange, SharePoint and OneDrive
• Cloud experience a plus
• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related degree a plus
